We have both seasoned and unseasoned wood for sale, which we're happy to deliver.

Since the early 1980's I've been involved in wood based industries, planting my own forests, logging, saw milling, flitching and firewood production.

I still have a keen interest in all these activities, but have increased my activities in the firewood industry, operating independently.

I hold concerns for the long term heating of houses in the Nelson & Tasman regions. Central government directives, I feel, are somewhat shortsighted and fail to take into account the long term implications of increased electricity production and finite natural gas reserves.

With today's modern woodburners combined with abiding by "goodwood" guidelines and adequate home insulation, wood provides practical, cost-efficient and sustainable home heating.

When gas and electricity run out, wood will burn on.

Rising Fuel Costs

This affects us all no matter what we do in the world, either directly at the pumps or indirectly as consumers of goods and services. Unfortunately the firewood industry is no different. Log prices delivered to the yard have increased since last winter and to date firewood pricing hasn't altered. Couple on the extra cost of processing and delivering wood and its inevitable that prices will have to rise accordingly soon. So get your order in now and beat the price rises.
